Tony Gonsolin takes the mound for Los Angeles after a solid first three starts since returning from the injured list. The right-hander has a 2.81 ERA in 18â…“ innings and has struck out a third of his batters faced. Gonsolin will be on six days rest Sunday after his five scoreless innings last Sunday in Arizona.
Left-hander Yusei Kikuchi starts for the Angels, the second straight southpaw the Dodgers will face in this series. Kikuchi has gone exactly six innings in six of his nine starts, including each of his last two outings, with a 3.72 ERA overall.
The Dodgers and Angels will meet again later this season, from August 11-13 a Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
The Angels this week announced they will simulcast a dozen Sunday games this season on over-the-air KCOP channel 13, with this series finale against the Dodgers the first of those games.
